Human beings are willing to learn in the social context, so it may be necessary for us to understand, explain, and describe the phenomena of educational practice in terms of societal perspectives. In this regard, the purpose of this course is to develop the ability of understanding and criticizing a variety of theories and practices concerning education and society, so that the students would be able to deeply understand the relationship between society and education.

EDC2107 Introduction to Special Education
The purpose of this course is to develop skills for recognizing and effectively teaching students with various exceptionalities. Broad areas to be covered in this course are areas of exceptionalities, major trends and issues in special education with emphases on collaboration and inclusion, service delivery models, roles of general and special class teachers, instructional strategies and family and community involvement.

This course is designed to introduce the theory and practice of educational administration and management. The course examines the current issues of educational administration and management, and explores the problems and improvement options.

EDC4104 Interdisciplinary Design of Secondary School Education(Mathematical and Physical Education)
This course aims to provide the understanding of physical community and apply it to the interdisciplinary design of secondary school of mathematical and physical education.
EDC4105 Inquiring Korean Society Through Collaboration of Literature and Sociology
This course aims to provide interdisciplinary understanding on Korean society for secondary school education, focusing on key social issues in Korea. A humanities professor and a sociology professor will teach the issues collaboratively by introducing the issues through novels and movies and by analysing the issues through social theories and statistics.
EDC4106 Future Education : Empathy and Communication
This class is to request to seek the direction and the specific practice method of character education in secondary education. The components of human nature and human rights are relationship, empathy, communication and solidarity. This class tries to gain deeper understandings of human nature through investigating empathy and communication in education.
EDC4107 Future Education : Creativity and Character
The aims of this class are investigate to what is needed for global citizenship in global society and how approach to be a global citizenship for learner. Pre-service teachers must learn about creativity, character and activity education for young children. This class enhance pre-service teacher’s creativity and character education in secondary education.
EDC4108 Educational Practicum
This course provides students with an opportunity for practical training of student practicum in the middle or high school. The course explores the theory and practice of student practicum, such as school organization, teacher's role, and classroom management.

This course is designed to provide an overall introduction to English language teaching for first-year students majoring in English education.

This course aims to help students elaborate basic listening skills and strategies acquired in high school. By practicing and enhancing their listening skills, students are prepared for understanding everyday English and for English tests such as Toeic.

This course introduces students to some basic concepts in linguistic analysis and to empirical accounts of the structure of English. Topics include general characteristics of language and modules of grammar such as phonetics, phonology, morphology and syntax.
