Introduction

The Department of Communication and Information aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills to become professionals in the field of Mass Media and Communication. The major prepares students with coursework involving theories of mass communication and information processes. This major is particularly helpful to those students who want devote their careers to betterment of our society.

Program Goals

The program goal of this department is to educate talented persons, especially logical and intuitive people, through a systematic approach to information processes. This department covers a wide variety of fields such as broadcasting, journalism, advertising, and public relations.

Program Objectives

Educating professional journalists with comprehensive knowledge of the functions of mass media
Educating broadcasting professionals with the most current techniques and skills
Educating advertising professionals with comprehensive advertising and public relations knowledge

Introduction to Communications, Introduction to Journalism, Introduction to Advertising, International Communications, Speech Communications, Information and Society, Media History, Production of Radio and Audio, Production of Television program, Mass Media Research Method, Planning and Formation of Multi Channel Media, Planning of Advertising and PR, Information and Media Policy, Computer Journal Editing, English News Writing

Vision after Graduation

Graduates may choose from any of the following careers in any of the following fields.

  • Journalist - Newspaper, Broadcasting, and Internet
  • Producer, Announcer, Writer, Advertising Planner, Copywriter, Public Relations - Manager Consultant, Professor, Researcher
