Applied Organic Materials Engineering
Fiber and textile industries in Korea have played a leading role in the explosive growth of the Korean economy over the last half century. The Department of Advanced Fiber Engineering at Inha University, which was established in 1970 and merged into the School of Nano-System Engineering with the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering in 2003, has proudly made a great contribution to such development, producing over 1000 alumni. With continuing demands on advanced technology and materials, the department is currently offering a rich variety of interdisciplinary educational and research programs, ranging from the traditional fiber and textile engineering, the high-tech and smart fibers, geotextiles and geosynthesis to polymers and polymeric nanostructures. In addition to the Bachelor of Science degree, the department offer degree programs for the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy.
