Returning to School

Students who no longer have valid reasons for filing a leave of absence (e.g. military service period has expired or for other reasons), and who wish to continue their studies, must return to school.

Type

Ordinary Return to School

After the leave of absence period expires, the returning student should complete the course registration and tuition payment during the same registration/payment period followed by regular enrolled students. (The student’s status will revert to enrolled student 1~2 days after tuition fees are paid.)

Early Return to School

Students can return to school before the leave of absence period expires if they meet the criteria of an enrolled student. (The student’s status will revert to enrolled student 1~2 days after tuition fees are paid.)

※ The option for students to return to school from a leave of absence earlier than scheduled is only available in the current semester.

Return to School After Military Service

A returning student who completes course registration and tuition payment before the first quarter of a semester has passed and meets the criteria of an enrolled student by the exact time his leave of absence period for military service expires.

For those who are discharged from the military after the first quarter of a semester has passed, students are permitted to have a temporary leave from before the first quarter of a semester to until the day of discharge and may return to school by submitting a copy of a provisory certificate of discharge from military service, a letter of recommendation for returning to school by their commander, and an order of leave to the college’s administration department. If the student has missed more than 25% of lectures in each course, he will not be eligible to take exams based on School Regulation Clause 35.

※ Cancellation of leave of absence in the current semester: Fill out a cancellation form for leave of absence to the supervising department’s office. (Students cannot automatically return to school regardless of completing a course registration and paying tuition fees.)

Return to School After Military Service

The returning student must complete course registration during the course registration period or before the first quarter of a semester has passed those not yet enrolled must complete enrollment.

Reserve Forces Candidates

Students who are returning to school after taking a leave of absence for military service must submit a moving-in notification for the Reserve Forces. 「Complete the moving-in notification on-line by Logging on to the Inha Portal - INS ( 학사행정) - Reserve Forces - Transfer to school」

※ It is not effective after the first quarter of the semester has passed.
