2024 Outstanding Education Awards Ceremony Held

Inha University recently held an 'Outstanding Education Awards Ceremony' to discover teachers who have contributed to the development of university education and share excellent educational practices.
Inha University selected the recipients of the Outstanding Education Awards based on the course evaluations submitted by students over the past two semesters and faculty teaching competency.
Professor Chang-Yull Lee of the Department of Aerospace Engineering received recognition for his 'Structural Mechanics' course, where he enhanced student engagement by integrating challenging concepts with real-life examples and employing participatory teaching methods. Professor Kyungho Jang of the Department of Social Studies Education focused on fostering ability to comprehensively analyze economic theories in his 'Study and Practice of National Economy' course.
Professor Myung Gwan Hahm of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering received high praise in his 'Electronic Properties of Materials' course as he improved collaboration skills and creative thinking by organizing theory and project execution in a balanced way. Professor Hyoung-Joon Jin of the Department of Polymer Science & Engineering presented various visual materials in his 'Organic Chemistry 1' course and encouraged students to actively participate.

Professor Kyeongja Lee of Frontier College who received with her 'Programming Languages' course designed carefully sturctured team projects and hands-on exercises to enhance students' software literacy and integrative thinking skills. Professor Kyung Chul Cho of Department of Chemistry improved the understanding of the lecture by trying to combine with the humanities and with real life in his 'Chemistry 1' course to attract students' interest.
CTL(Center for Teaching & Learning) plans to share the excellent teaching methods by publishing an 'Outstanding Education Casebook' containing the experiences of the 2024 award recipients.
President Myeong Woo Cho said, “I would like to express my gratitude to professors who are working to develop our university and foster their students,” and “Finding and sharing the know-how of outstanding educators will be a valuable foundation for the development of our university.”
